Review: Billing Garden Village
Overview:
Billing Garden Village is located on the the outskirts of Northampton, opposite the the famous leisure venue of Billing Aquadrome.
The complex consists of a variety of retail outlets situated in and around the Billing Garden Store. The retail outlets, numbering 14 in total, offer everything from furniture to Childrens clothing and a ceramics studio.
There is ample free parking, a Cafe and all the usual facilities that one would expect to find; including disabled toliets.
The Centre, whilst looking rather rough and ready from the outside has lots of hidden gems. The shops are spread all over the site and you have to investigate all the liitle corridors and entrances to ensure that you find them all.

Billing Garden Store
The Garden store, or Garden Centre, is perhaps the most disappointing aspect of the complex. The layout is very hap-hazard and, whilst you can purchase most garden related items, you will have to take a bit of time searching for them.
Access to the Garden store is down a ramp in the corner of the complex and whilst this may look rather daunting when you have just filled ou trolley full of plants, there is always a member of staff onhand to help you take your purchases back to your car.
Fish & Pond Centre
The first of the rather well hidden shops is the fish & pond centre. The centre has an excellent range of aquariums in all shapes and sizes. Their slogan "run by fishkeepers for fishkeepers" sums up the attitude of the staff and when combined with the comprehensive stocks and keen pricing make this an impressive store.
Nippers Northampton
Something that you do not expect to find in a Garden Village is a Childrens clothing outlet! Nippers Northampton has been located within the centre since May 2008 and has built up a considerable base of regular customers.
The quality of goods and prices are difficult to match anywhere in the town and whilst the store looks expensive, when you enter inside to investigate you are pleasantly surprised by the prices.
Nippers stock a good and diverse range of kids clothes, specializing in the Disney range at fraction of the Disney store prices.
